Weldmar Hospicecare has told KeeP 106 that they will be partnering with Just Racing UK for the Weymouth Half Marathon in March 2025.
On Sunday 16th March, participants will get to run around beautiful landmarks in Weymouth, including the seafront, Lodmoor Country Park, the historic harbour and through Nothe Gardens.
Weldmar Hospicecare is pledging to refund the registration fee of any participant who meets the minimum sponsorship target for Weldmar of £250 through a JustGiving page.
Alan Rose founder of Just Racing UK, said “We are really excited to be working with the charity, and helping to raise much needed funds. We have all experienced loss, and we have all seen the good work that hospices do. Locally Weldmar have helped so many people, including so many people I know and their families.”
Eden Fraser, Weldmar Fundraiser, said “We are really pleased to be partnering with Weymouth Half Marathon next year for their 10th anniversary. We are really hoping to raise lots and lots of vital funds for Weldmar Hospicecare, whilst also having a great day cheering you all on.”
New for 2025, Just Racing UK is celebrating their 10th year of the event by launching the Weymouth Half Half, which as the name suggests is half the 13.1 mile distance of the half marathon, opening up the event to those who may have been daunted by the distance before.
