On Remembrance Sunday, 10th November 2024, the crowds turned out in force in Weymouth to pay their respects to those who have lost their lives in conflict. The service was conducted by the mayor’s chaplain, Neil Biles, with the Act of Remembrance being followed by a two minute silence marked by canon fire.
After the parade, veterans, scouts and cadets marched along the Esplanade to the US memorial with applause from the onlooking public.
