Weymouth Football Club’s mid-week FA Trophy victory at Huish Park against their arch-rivals Yeovil Town is just a distant memory following their 3 goals to nil National League South defeat at Hemel Hempstead. This result leaves the Terras anchored firmly to the bottom of the league table, all be it with a game in hand over the other clubs in the drop zone but 7 points from league safety.
Dorchester travelled to Walton & Hersham for a Southern Premier League fixture and returned to the Avenue Stadium with a share of the spoils following the two goals each result, with wing-back Jack Dixon scoring both.
In the Wessex Premier League, Portland United took the road into Hampshire to play Brockenhurst. However, their journey turned out to be fruitless, with the Blues going down by 2 goals to 1, their only score coming courtesy of a recent signing from Bridport Stefanos Stavrianos.
The loss of Stavrianos didn’t seem to handicap the Bees as they put 6 goals in the back of the Elburton Villa net at St Mary’s Field, with the visitors scoring 3 in reply.
Ryan Gall netted twice for Bridport, with Fred Parsons, James Cox, Joe Charles and Will Gape adding a goal apiece.

Great game today from the boys vs Gloucestershire, which was a very close, physical battle. The game was a very fast-tempo game at times, which suited our style of play, but Gloucestershire were very strong. The game ended 15 – 15, with Gloucestershire getting a score in the last play. We will improve again for our final test on the 5th of January at Hartpury.
