Join Weymouth Fire Station as firefighters race to save Santa from the drill tower in time for Christmas at their festive open day this Sunday (22 December) between 10am and 2pm.
Visit Santa’s Grotto, meet your local firefighters, visit the craft fair stalls and dust up on your knowledge with their Chip Pan Demo.
Other activities include firefighter demonstrations, seeing the fire engines, a BBQ, an Ice Cream Van, and attendance from the Fire Fighter’s Charity.
Station Manager Martin Charles said: “We’re really looking forward to the open day and welcoming everyone to Weymouth Fire Station. The open day will be a great opportunity to connect with our local community, share some of our safety knowledge, and even spread a bit of Christmas cheer! We have lots on offer including demonstrations, our very own Grotto and even an ice cream van.”
Not only this but there’s also an opportunity to discuss fire safety and arrange home fire safety visits where necessary. Home safety visits provide advice about cooking and electrical safety, escape plans, and free smoke alarm checks.
Please note, parking has been arranged next door at Conifers School who have very kindly opened their gates for us. Signs will be in place to direct you to the open day.
Weymouth Fire Station can be found on Radipole Lane, Weymouth.
