Appeal for witnesses following burglary In West Knighton

Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after a burglary at an address near Dorchester.

At around 6.30pm on Tuesday 21 January 2025, a man forced entry to an address in West Knighton while the female victim was inside. The suspect is described as wearing dark clothing, gloves, a scarf and his face was covered.

It is reported that a set of keys was stolen during the incident.

The man subsequently left the address and the victim did not sustain any physical injuries.

Detective Constable Liam Moss, of Dorset County CID, said: “Our investigation is continuing and a number of enquiries have been carried out so far, including an examination of the scene and house-to-house enquiries.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the village around the relevant timeframe to please get in touch.

“If you live in the area and have a doorbell or CCTV camera, I would ask you to please check your footage for anything of relevance.

“Officers from the local neighbourhood policing team can be approached by anyone with information or concerns.”
