Weymouth Football Club’s senior men’s team 4 goals to 1 defeat away at Eastbourne confirmed the Terras’ relegation from the National League South.
The writing has been on the wall for the Terras ever since they parted company with manager Mark Molesley back in November last year following 24 games at the helm of the club.
Molesley’s replacement, Warren Feeney, brought some new faces into the playing staff in an attempt to lift the Terras out of the drop zone, and recently, they seemed to be running into some form. but it turned out to be too little too late for the former Bournemouth and Northern Irish international player, and he just ran out of matches. now, he must rally his troops, and the Terras’ faithful must look forward towards next season back in the Southern Premier League.
Jake McCarthy scored Weymouth’s only goal.
Following the game the Terras’ Chairman, Paul Maitland, issued a statement expressing his disappointment and apologising to supporters and sponsors and thanking them for their “unwavering support”. You can read the full statement here: idrismartin.wordpress.com
Dorchester were just minutes away from returning to the Avenue Stadium with all 3 league points until a late strike from Gloucester City condemned the Magpies to a share of the spoils with the final scoreline of 3 goals each.
This was a bad result for Dorchester as they have now dropped to 6th in the Southern Premier League table 1 place below the play offs.
Wes Fogden, Olaf Koszela and Shaquille Gwengwe all netted a goal each for the Magpies.

Portland United went down by 3 goals to 2 away against Hamworthy Recreation their scores courtesy of Albie Turner and Jamie Cleaver.
