Weekend Sports Report

Dorchester Football Club hosted Bridport at the Avenue Stadium for a pre-season game and emerged victors.

George Gertie opened the scoring for the Bees, but their advantage didn’t last long until the Magpies equalised courtesy of Joe Parker, then minutes later, Dorchester took the lead through Brett Pitman.

Parker made it 3 goals to 1 with his second, and after the turnaround, he netted a second-half hat trick, more to take his personal tally of goals to 5. And with Bridport drawing a second-half blank, the final score was Dorchester 6, Bridport 1.
