Family pay tribute to woman who died in road collision

A family tribute has been issued for a woman who very sadly died in a fatal road traffic collision near Dorchester.

Dorset Police received a report at 5.34pm on Wednesday 22 October 2025 of the collision involving a black Kia Niro and a grey Peugeot 107 on the A37 near Maiden Newton.

Emergency services attended and very sadly the driver of the Peugeot, 49-year-old Catherine Gray from Weymouth, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her family has issued the following tribute: “Catherine – also known as Cath – was a fun loving free spirited soul who would have helped anyone with anything. She lived for her children who she adored wholeheartedly. She will be sorely missed by all of us family and friends. We will never forget you.”
