A Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency.
Flooding is possible for: Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Seatown, West Bay, Bothenhampton, Burton Freshwater, Burton Bradstock, Cogden Beach, Chesil Beach, West Fleet, East Fleet and Chiswell.
Waves are forecast to overtop defences at exposed locations as a result of spring tides and strong winds.
Detailed tidal information for those who use it; The time and date of the forecast high water is 05:45 on 26/10/2019. The forecast tide level including waves is 6.1 m AOD. The forecast wind strength and direction is Force 7 South westerly.
Please note all tide times are in local time and are using the 24 hour clock and refer to the high water time at West Bay. Potentially dangerous spray overtopping is possible at this time, conditions may apply one to two hours either side of the high tide. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Seatown, West Bay, Bothenhampton, Burton Freshwater, Burton Bradstock, Cogden Beach, Chesil Beach, West Fleet, East Fleet and Chiswell.
