Children can sign up as a Junior Safety Inspector to discover how to stay safe, build confidence and learn valuable skills for life this February half term at SafeWise in Weymouth.
The fun and interactive family tours are back by popular demand at the charity’s learning village next to Weymouth Fire Station on Radipole Lane.
The self-guided tour involves solving clues whilst exploring SafeWise’s real-life learning village which features a full size road streetscene and fire safety scenarios. It also includes working pedestrian crossings, double decker bus, police and coastguard vehicles plus railway, power substation, park and beach settings and more.
The event takes place on 19 February with advance booking online required at www.safewise.org/events
SafeWise Weymouth manager Ben Heath said: “Our Junior Safety Inspector tours are a great way for families to spend quality time together which is fun, rewarding and which ultimately may one day help to save their lives.
“We’re delighted to bring the tours back for February Half Term and look forward to welcoming lots of local families to the SafeWise learning village, which now has even more to explore.”
The Junior Safety Inspector tour costs £3 (plus small booking fee) per person and is designed for children aged four-10 years old and their families, but all ages are welcome with children under 4 entering free.
Every child that successfully completes the tour graduates as Junior Safety Inspector and receives a certificate.
