Weldmar Book Club returns for 2020

Weldmar Hospicecare’s Book Club is back with new meeting dates for 2020.

Anyone can drop in to join the discussion on the book chosen that month, with meetings taking place at Weldmar’s Bookshop on South Parade, South Street, Dorchester.

The club will be meeting on the following Wednesdays to talk about these books:

. 11th March – ‘Erebus’ by Michael Palin

. 8th April – ‘Uncommon Type’ by Tom Hanks

. 13th May – ‘The Victory Garden’ by Rhys Bowen

All sessions run from 5:30pm – 7:00pm.

Helen Maisie runs the group, and says, “We are a friendly group who meet in a relaxed atmosphere. It’s a good opportunity to leave your worries outside and escape with us into a good book, meeting like-minded folk, and having a natter and a cuppa.”

The Book Club was originally started last year as a group for loved ones of patients who were using Weldmar’s bereavement support services. Everyone is welcome to take part in the Book Club, whether you have a connection to Weldmar or not.
