It’s understood that the local branch has just 7 customers using it, regularly, each week.
With more and more facilities now available electronically and the shift to these online services: 83% of their business customers at the branch have either used other forms of banking such as online, mobile or telephone banking or visited another branch.
However most day-to-day banking tasks can be carried out at the local post office, under 0.6 miles away.
It’s believed that the Dorchester branch of TSB will be closing on 28th April 2021, along with over 150 other branches in the UK.
