Arrest made after search of Crossways property

On Friday, 29 January 2021, officers executed a Section 8 Police and Criminal Evidence Act warrant at an address in Mount Skippet Way, Crossways.

The local Neighbourhood Policing Teams and patrol officers seized a number of items including substances believed to be controlled drugs.

A 53-year-old Dorchester man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. He has now been released under investigation while police enquiries continue.

Dorchester Neighbourhood Policing Team would like to hear from anyone who has information of drug use within their community.

Police Constable Scott Williams, of Dorchester Police, said: “I hope this warrant shows the community that we are taking action over suspected supply of drugs within Dorchester.

“It is, as ever, essential that residents of Dorchester and the surrounding area continue to tell us about the issues in their communities – whether this relates to suspected drug offences, or other related criminal activity.

“We will continue, with the help of our partner agencies, to address local concerns and priorities.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk, or by calling 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org
