Dorchester Neighbourhood Officers made targeted patrols this Friday evening across Dorchester.
Officers concentrated on areas highlighted by the public as having issues with Anti-Social Behaviour, including under age drinking, littering and rowdy abusive behaviour.
A spokesperson said: “We had positive interaction with numerous groups enjoying their evenings. We also had to remove alcohol from young people within the Maumbury Rings PSPO area (Public Space Protection Order) and found empty NOS canisters in the Playing fields behind Thomas Hardye School.”
Dorchester Police will continue to patrol areas including- Maumbury Rings, Borough Gardens, Thomas Hardye School Fields, Holmead Walks Fields, 1610 Sports Centre, The Market car park and Sawmills Cricket Pavilion.
“Dorchester should be a pleasant place for everyone to enjoy throughout the summer – we will continue to patrol to help prevent the minority spoiling it for the many.” The spokesperson added.
