Police officers searching for a missing woman from Wareham are pleased to update that she has been located after a multi-agency search and rescue operation.
Elke Jaeger, 61, had last been seen at 12.30pm on Saturday 29 May at her home and reported missing at 1.36am today (Sunday 30 May) when she was not found to be at home as expected.
Police had earlier described a walk that Elke liked to regularly take, though it was unknown whether she took the same route today, and hoped that someone might have seen her.
Fortunately Elke was eventually found by Police helicopter on marshland outside of Wareham near Arne and was picked up by Air Ambulance, due to the location, with suspected hypothermia.
Agencies involved in the satisfactory outcome included Dorset Search & Rescue, Coastguard, South Western Ambulance Service, Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance and the Police helicopter.
