Weekend Rugby Preview – Covid Strikes Out

Weymouth & Portland Rugby Club’s Tribute Dorset & Wilts Division 1 South fixture at home against visitors East Dorset Dockers on Saturday has been postponed as the Dockers have been struck down by the dreaded Covid-19 and the game will now be re-scheduled in the new year.

The Seahorses sit currently in third place in the league table behind leaders Blandford on 41 league points and level on 40 points, with second placed North Dorset who have a 5 game points differential advantage.

In the same division, leaders Blandford entertain Bournemouth Nomads, North Dorset play hosts to visitors Swanage & Wareham A XV and Puddletown are visited by Wimborne seconds.

In Tribute Southern Counties South Dorchester lock horns with hosts Swanage & Wareham at Bestwall Park.

On Sunday at Monmouth Avenue the Ridgeway Roses women’s rugby team entertain Swan’s women’s XV, all games kicking off @ 2 00pm.
