Arrest made in connection with reported burglary at a Weymouth church

Officers investigating an alleged burglary at a church in Weymouth have made an arrest.

It was reported that a number of electrical items were stolen from St Joseph’s Church in Stavordale Road on the afternoon of Thursday 31 March 2022. The items reportedly taken included a laptop, ten microphones, two speakers and microphone leads.

Following enquiries by officers, a 38-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of burglary. He has been released on police bail as further enquiries are carried out.
