Indecent exposure incident on Weymouth beach – witness appeal

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after a man allegedly indecently exposed himself at Weymouth beach.

It is reported that between 3pm and 3.45pm on Thursday 4 August 2022 a man exposed himself to members of the public on the beach.

The man was allegedly challenged and subsequently became verbally abusive.

A 42-year-old man from Yeovil was arrested on suspicion of committing an act of outraging public decency and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police Constable Bryce Scott-Jones, of Weymouth police, said: “I understand there were a number of people on the beach at the time and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk/contact, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55220126547.
