MP praises local talent at Mental Health Artists exhibition

The breadth of artistic talent in West Dorset following the launch of the Dorset Community Mental Health Artists exhibition at Dorchester’s Shire Hall, has been hailed by West Dorset MP Chris Loder.

The exhibition, launched on Saturday 24th September, showcases the artwork created by members of the Dorset Community Mental Health group. The event, also attended by the High Sherrif of Dorset, the Mayor of Dorchester and many others, has been organised to bring the artists “out of their shell” and encourage them to publicly exhibit their work to build their confidence.

Mr Loder said; “This is a very meaningful initiative to help creative people who may otherwise lack the confidence to show off their talents and great skills. Special thanks to Jonai Da Silva for organising the event.”
