Officers investigating reported criminal damage to eight vehicles near Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
It was reported at around 8pm on Saturday 1 July 2023 that damage had been caused to a number of vehicles parked at the Chickerell Steam and Vintage Show at Knights in the Bottom. Several vehicles reportedly had their windscreen wipers ripped off and one had a damaged windscreen.
Following enquiries, a 31-year-old Weymouth man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and he has been released under investigation.
Investigations Officer Amy Davis, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate these incidents and I would urge anyone who saw what happened to please contact us.
“I would also like to hear from anybody who may have captured any relevant dashcam or mobile phone footage.”
