It has been confirmed by the RFU that the Dorset & Wilts senior men’s county rugby team will play in the semi-final of the Bill Beaumont Pool 3 county rugby championship at Droitwich Rugby Club on Saturday against the North Midlands with the game kicking off at 3 00 pm.
Dorset and Wilts qualify as the best runners-up after beating Berkshire at Wareham, but losing to Devon at Ivybridge two weeks ago.
Team manager Richard Elliott said: “The lads are up for it – we have a couple who can’t make it for personal reasons, but I am sure that we can field a side who will do the Twin Counties proud”.
The prize on offer to the winners is a run out at the home of English rugby Twickenham in the final.
