Dorset Police received a report at 10.27pm on Monday 9 December 2024 of an assault that occurred inside The William Henry pub in Frederick Place.
It was reported a man was punched in the face by an unknown man, leaving him with a missing front tooth and injuries to his lip.
It was also alleged that the victim was subsequently assaulted with a glass by another man. A 24-year-old man from Shaftesbury was arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail pending further enquiries.
Police Constable Lloyd Bleese, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing our enquiries into this incident and as part of our investigation we have obtained a CCTV image of a man we would like to identify.
“I would urge anyone who recognises this man to please get in touch with us.”
