Following their 1 nil defeat away against Worthing, Blue Terra wrote on the Fan’s Forum: “The most disappointing stat is no one hammers us, but our inability to score is sending us down”, and according to our Man at the Match, that just about sums it up. He added: “The Terras played ok, but they just don’t score any goals; trying the long ball tactic didn’t work, and it wasn’t until the final 10 minutes that Weymouth built up any pressure on the Worthing defenders and with a bit more luck they could have equalized, but the ball rebounded off the crossbar to safety now the margin between the Terras and National League South safety is beginning to widen”.

In the local Tribute Rugby Leagues, Dorchester hosted Sherborne at Coburg Road and were still very much in the game at the break when the score was 15 points to 5 in the visitors’ favour. Still, as the game progressed, Sherborne took control and deservedly won the contest by 48 points to 17. Although the best try of the afternoon came early in the second half when Dorchester’s young full-back twisted and turned his through the Sherborne defence, then off-loaded the ball for his team-mate to touchdown for a try.
