Rare visitor to Weymouth

Our reporter Idris Martin spotted a rare Antipodean visitor to Weymouth, currently on a world tour and tied up at Custom House Quay, an Australian yacht by the name of Wombat.

The boat is registered at Hamilton Island which, according to Google, is a picturesque location in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef.

Hamilton Island is renowned for its world-class accommodation, quality food and wine, plus a huge range of activities.

The island also has an interesting history and is now owned by the famous Australian sailing and wine-making family, the Oatleys.
