Only one of our local Non League Football Clubs could record a victory on Saturday afternoon and that was Bridport who banked all 3 Southwest Peninsular League East points beating visitors Bishop’s Lydeard by 4 goals to 1.
The Bees’ scores coming from Darren Lock, Sam Fisher, Alec Thomas and Leon Wood.

Sam Fisher scored for Bridport against Bishops’ Lydeard.
In the Southern Premier League Weymouth lost out at the Bob Lucas Stadium beaten by 3 goals to 1 by Evesham, the Terras only goal scored by Brandon Goodship.
Our Man at the Match said: “Evesham were better organised than the Terras and to be honest they could have scored more goals and Evesham played as a team and not 11 individuals”.
“Weymouth’s hoof ball tactics didn’t appear to work and mistakes in the Terras’ defence cost 3 goals, but it is early days yet and Weymouth have plenty of time to improve.”
In the same division Dorchester travelled to Uxbridge and returned with a share of the points following a goalless draw.
Portland United hosted Hamble for a Wessex Premier League match, but the Blues failed to open their goal account with The Monks scoring twice.
In the Local Dorset Cricket Leagues Dorchester beat Bere Regis at the Rec by 8 wickets while in Premier Division Two Christchurch won at home against Blandford by 168 runs and Martinstown beat Marnhull away by 198 runs.
In County Division one, Weymouth ran out 145 run victors against Poole Second Team at Redlands and Portland Red Triangle visited Corfe Mullen and returned to St. Georges following their 117-run victory
