Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a burglary in Weymouth.
At approximately 1.50pm on Friday 2 November 2018 the victim, a woman aged in her late teens, was at her home address off Brunel Drive when a man rang the doorbell a number of times.
When the victim did not answer, he forced entry to a door but left the property before taking anything.
The offender is described as white, aged in his late teens or early twenties, approximately five feet five inches tall and of medium build with short brown hair. He was wearing a black jumper and blue jeans.
Police Constable Anneka Harding, of Weymouth police, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the man described in the area at the relevant time to get in touch.
“I have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident so far to try and locate the offender, including CCTV and house-to-house enquiries.
“If you have any information that could assist me in my investigation, please contact police.”
