Teenager attacked and wallet stolen in Dorchester – witness appeal

At around 7.15pm on Sunday 5 October 2025, a teenage boy was walking with a girl on South Walks Road in Dorchester near to the War Memorial when four male suspects approached and punched him in the head. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Having taken the boy’s wallet they removed a bank card from inside, before dropping the wallet and running off.

The suspects are described as wearing grey tracksuits and balaclavas.

Police Constable Edward Vaughan, of Dorset Police, said: “A full investigation is underway to identify those involved in this incident.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and may have seen either the incident, or a group of people acting suspiciously in the vicinity, to please come forward.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have been driving in the town centre and captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250147814. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
