Weekend Sports Report

Against all of the forecasts lowly Southern Premier League club Weymouth emerged victors at the Bob Lucas Stadium beating runaway league leaders Walton & Hersham by three goals to one.

All of the Terras’ scores came in the first half, two from striker Brandon Goodship and the third by Evan Watt.

Our Man at the Match said, “A great performance from the Terras and they could have scored even more goals, but now Weymouth must prove they can be more consistent and produce displays like this week in and week out until the end of the season to survive in this division”.

Dorchester’s game at Chertsey fell victim to a flooded pitch as did Bridport’s match at St. Mary’s against Torrington.

Portland United hosted Petersfield at Grove Corner and won the game by four goals to nil.

Sam Gadsby, Man of the Match Josh Camp, Pat Jenkins and Jack Delves scoring for the Blues.
