EBIKE Cafe & Bar continues to raise vital funds for local charities

EBIKE Cafe & Bar on Weymouth Harbourside is proud to announce that customers raised £1,177 for its 2025 Charity Partner, MV Freedom, through a combination of fundraising events and the sale of their popular Freedom Flat White.

Throughout 2025, 10p from every Freedom Flat White sold was donated directly to the charity, alongside additional monies raised at special events hosted at EBIKE across the year. The initiative reflects EBIKE Cafe & Bar’s ongoing commitment to supporting local charities through its loyal customer base.

MV Freedom is a Weymouth-based charity dedicated to making the sea accessible for people living with disabilities. Using a fully accessible catamaran, the charity provides memorable trips along the Jurassic Coast, offering confidence-building and life-enhancing experiences for individuals, carers and support groups.

Owner Josephine Parker, EBIKE Cafe & Bar, said: “We’re incredibly proud of what our customers helped us achieve for MV Freedom in 2025. Every coffee really did make a difference, and it’s been a privilege to support a local charity that brings so much joy and freedom to so many people.”

Looking ahead, EBIKE Cafe & Bar is delighted to confirm that Weldmar Hospicecare will return as its Charity Partner for 2026, following two previously successful partnership years.

Josephine’s continued support for Weldmar is because of a deeply personal connection with the charity. Weldmar Hospicecare cared for her Mum during her short battle with cancer, both at the hospice in Dorchester and at home, providing compassionate support to her Mum, Josephine and her family during an incredibly difficult time.

“Weldmar looked after my mum with such kindness, dignity and compassion.”

Josephine added. “The care they gave her and the support they gave us as a family is something I’ll always be grateful for. Welcoming Weldmar back as our charity partner for 2026 feels very special and it’s our way of giving something back.”

During 2026, 10p from every Weldmarccino sold will once again be donated to Weldmar Hospicecare, alongside funds raised through events held at the cafe throughout the year. The Weldmarccino has previously proved hugely popular with customers, helping raise thousands of pounds to support Weldmar’s vital services across Dorset.
