Berkshire U20s 33 – 29 Dorset & Wiltshire U20s
Despite limited time together and several players stepping up and playing out of position, Dorset & Wiltshire U20s (D&W) showed real heart and commitment in a thrilling contest away to Berkshire. D&W came out strong in the first half, going in at the break 19-29 and kept battling hard throughout.
Iestyn Asher, Callum Angell, Rhys Lythell, and Jack Wallace all crossed for tries, with George Yarwood adding three conversions and a late penalty. The boys worked tirelessly in every phase, making strong first-time tackles, using the field well, and playing expansive, attacking rugby.
Though Berkshire edged the game 33-29, D&W showed plenty of promise. With hopefully all players back in their preferred positions for the next fixture, the squad can build on this performance and push for a win on the 15th March at Melksham RFC.
Scorers:
• Tries: Iestyn Asher, Callum Angell, Rhys Lythell, Jack Wallace
• Conversions & Penalty: George Yarwood
