Both of the Dorset & Wilts County Rugby Teams played in their respective County Championship competitions over the weekend.
On Saturday, the men’s team locked horns with Berkshire at Royal Wootton Bassett rugby club and emerged victors by an impressive 70 points to seven scoreline.
Semi Nacoko of Royal Wootton Bassett, Rob Brown of Salisbury, and Marlborough’s James Adams all scored two tries each, with Rhys Floyd, John Jewell, and Mitchell Gough, all from Bassett, and Harry Whigham from Sherborne, all touching down once for the Twin Counties, with Floyd converting all 10 tries.
On Sunday at Yeovil rugby club, the Dorset and Wilts senior women’s team played their Somerset counterparts and beat their hosts by 41 points to five.

Martinstown were beaten at home by Wimborne by 10 wickets, Bere Regis lost away at Poole by 11 runs, Dorchester won away at Sherborne by 4 wickets, Weymouth won at Redlands, beating Poole second team by 116 runs, Wimborne second team beat Blandford by 6 wickets, and Portland Red Triangle lost at Stalbridge by one solitary wicket.
