Preparations  are well underway for this weekend’s Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge a 100KM race starting at 8:00am in Corfe Castle with the finishing line in Bridport.

The event course follows the Jurassic Coast Line taking in Swanage, Durdle Door Portland Bill and Chesil Bill.

A feeding and rest station has been constructed on the Lodmoor Country Park.

The elite athletes are expected to complete the course in time of around 20 hours.

One of the Weymouth and Portland Rugby Club players is running in the event.
