A countryside café is applying for a licence to sell alcoholic drinks.
The Rusty Duck, on a former farmyard site near Bockhampton, is asking for a Premises Licence from 9am until 10pm daily, with extra hours on New Year’s Eve through to New Year’s Day, until 1am.
A licensing application to Dorset Council says the business, based at Duck Farm, Bockhampton, near Puddletown Forest, will comply with all of the licensing conditions including having CCTV on the premises, Challenge 25 training and having appropriate fire and health and safety rules – as well as adding notices asking customers to leave quietly.
The application applies to the main building and adjoining courtyard, the business until now offering mainly teas and coffees and light lunches.
The Designated Premises Supervisor is named in the application as Iryna Simenok who holds a personal licence granted by Somerset Council.
Public comments on the proposals can be made until September 4th.
