Dorchester travelled to Willand Rovers and returned to the Avenue Stadium with a 3 goals to 2 Southern League Division 1 result. The Magpies’ goals came from Matt Buse, Matt Burrows and Kyran Samadi.
In the same division, Weymouth came from a goal down to beat Falmouth Town 2-1 at the Bob Lucas Stadium. The Terras’ scores came courtesy of Matt Neale and a late penalty winner from Toby Holmes, and Portland United collected their first Step 4 League point with a goalless draw away at Bristol Manor Farm.
Our Man at the Weymouth match said, “The Terras must have had a get-out-of-jail card; Falmouth came to attack, and it gave the Terras a wake-up call. They also went close to adding to their tally, hitting the crossbar. But Weymouth upped their game in the second half, and now it’s three wins from three outings, and the Terras are top of the league Table”.
Bridport progress into the next round of the FA Vase, beating Folland Sports at St. Mary’s 2 nil.
Callum Arnold and Owen Kemp both netted a goal each for the Bees.
