Detectives investigating a reported altercation in Dorchester are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
The incident occurred at around 1.30pm on Thursday 23 May 2019 in the alleyway between South Street and Trinity Street, near to the Natwest bank.
It was reported that a group of two men were attacked by another group of three young men. One of the victims sustained injuries to his face and a second victim reportedly sustained an injury to his head, but did not seek medical treatment.
Following enquiries, a 24-year-old man from the Blandford area was arrested on suspicion of affray and is assisting detectives with their investigation.
Detective Constable Emma Swann, of Weymouth CID, said: “We are continuing to make enquiries into this matter and I am appealing for any witnesses who have not spoken to police or anyone with information to contact us.
“I am particularly keen to hear from a man who is reported to have intervened during the incident.”
