Officers investigating a road traffic collision in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

At 1.30pm on Monday 27 May 2019 a collision occurred on Lanehouse Rocks Road involving a blue Citroen Relay minibus and a white Vauxhall van.

The driver of the van – a 60-year-old man – sustained an injury to his head and was taken to Dorset County Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

The driver of the minibus was uninjured. His 17-year-old female passenger sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by the ambulance service.

Lanehouse Rocks Road was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident. It reopened at 2.40pm.

Police Constable Tim Beckwith, of Weymouth police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was travelling along the road at the relevant time and witnessed the collision, or saw the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the incident, to please get in touch.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who has relevant dashcam footage that will assist me with my investigation.”
