Upper Frome from Maiden Newton to Dorchester, Lower Frome from Dorchester to East Stoke, West Dorset Rivers and Streams and Upper Frome at Maiden Newton.
Lower Frome from Dorchester to East Stoke –
River levels are rising at the Stinsford river gauge as a result of the ground being saturated and reacting to further heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding could occur overnight and into the morning. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for areas in Dorchester, West Stafford, Bockhampton, Lewell, Tincleton, Pallington, Waddock, Moreton, Wool and East Stoke. River levels can rise very quickly in response to heavy rainfall and we expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. Please consider installing property flood resilience equipment and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded and refer to local authority website for local road closures.

River levels can rise very quickly in response to heavy rainfall and we expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please consider installing property flood resilience equipment and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded and refer to local authority website for local road closures.
West Dorset rivers and streams –
River levels have risen at the Burton Bradstock river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible from 10:00 today, 05/03/20. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the Rivers Lim, Char, Winniford, Simene, Brit, Asker, Mangerton and Bride. Further heavy rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. River levels can rise very quickly in response to heavy rainfall. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are clearing weed screens and in contact with community flood wardens and volunteers. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and consider installing property flood resilience equipment.
Upper Frome at Maiden Newton –
River levels are rising at the Maiden Newton river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible from around 12:30 today, 05/03/20. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for Dorchester Road and Frome Lane area of Maiden Newton. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are clearing weed screens. Please can owners with property flood resilience equipment install it now and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded and refer to local authority website for local road closures.
