Officers investigating a fire that was believed to have been started deliberately in Dorchester are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Dorset Police was called at 4.07am on Monday 29 June 2020 to a report of a fire at a block of flats on Bitter End.
The surrounding roads were closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident and reopened at around 7.30am. The building was also evacuated as a precaution.
There were no reports of any injuries.
Detective Constable Kirsty Wilson, of Weymouth CID, said: “An investigation is underway to establish the cause of the fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time to please get in touch.
“I would also urge anyone with information that may assist my investigation to please come forward.”
