Brewery Square ‘glows’ virtual with Christmas lights event

Dorchester’s Brewery Square has announced it is switching up its annual Christmas lights event this year with a special virtual celebration, hosted by Mr Bloom from CBeebies.

The Brewery Square Virtual Lights Switch On will take place on Saturday 28th November at 5:15pm, where shoppers can tune in to watch the broadcast on the Square’s official Facebook page.

Mr Bloom from CBeebies, who is known for his role in the children’s television show Mr Bloom’s Nursery, will pay a special visit to Brewery Square to do the honours.

Charlotte Spracklen, centre manager at Brewery Square commented: “We know how much Christmas means to our visitors and businesses at Brewery Square, so we wanted to do as much as we could to host our regular festivities in a COVID-safe environment. The Brewery Square Lights Switch On is a much-loved annual event in our community, so we’re excited to host it in a virtual format for the first time, with a very special guest to help get everyone into the festive spirit.”

The Brewery Square Virtual Lights Switch On will be viewable on Saturday 28th November 2020 from Brewery Square’s Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/BrewerySquare.
