A consultation to help develop the future of Dorset Council’s Tourist Information Centres (TICs) has been extended until Sunday 3 January 2021.
The consultation covers the three centres – based in Dorchester, Sherborne and Wareham.
The consultation was originally planned to run until the end of November. However, the current national lockdown has led to further travel restrictions and the closure of TIC and library buildings. This has impacted the number of potential visitors at our TICs and limited access to offline copies of the questionnaire.
Councillor Jill Haynes, Dorset Council Portfolio Holder for Customer, Community and Regulatory Services said: “We have rightly extended the consultation period so people can visit their TIC or library to complete the questionnaire when their local centre reopens.
“We are encouraging as many people as possible to complete the survey, so please take a few minutes to do so, either online or by visiting your local TIC or library after lockdown.”
The survey should take around 5 to 10 minutes to complete online. You can also request it in another format, or by post, by contacting Tracy McGregor on 01305 224458.
