While Weymouth RNLI lifeboat station will not be having a ‘Lifeboat week’ this year, some of the station volunteer fund raisers will still be out and about around the town from the 1st to 7th August raising awareness of the RNLI and fundraising by shaking a bucket. No cash? Well don’t worry they will be armed with a card machine to enable you to donate to the charity that exists to save lives at sea.
There will be a stall outside the HSBC bank in St Mary Street on Tuesday 3rd August and Wednesday 4th August with safety leaflets and sea safety advice as well as a chance to donate.
And on Friday 6th August there will be a stall on the Esplanade selling bric-a-brac which will be open from 10am until 5pm.
