Poundbury Patients Group Chimney Challenge

The team at Poundbury Patients Group, the patient participation group for Poundbury Doctors’ Surgery, have come up with a fun and invigorating activity to do over the summer holidays or on autumnal weekends – this is either an exercise you can do alone, with children or as a group.

Poundbury Patients (PPG) is inviting patients of the surgery and their friends and families to come and identify different chimneys located around Poundbury. You need to match the correct chimney with the correct location on the map and submit your answers by 31st October 2021 and you will receive a certificate for your efforts, depending on how many you find (there are nine chimneys in the challenge).

For more information about the challenge, please see the following link: where you can download the map and pictures: https://poundburypatients.org/news/

John Lowe, who came up with the idea for the project; said: “It came out of a discussion about the way that chimneys were made to look different in Poundbury. There are lots of different chimney designs out there but for this year we have chosen nine. We are really hoping this activity is something for all the family and your friends if you like, or just you alone, to enjoy. The certificate is a bonus even if you only find one of them, and we hope you have a lot of fun doing it whilst staying healthy.”
