After 5 years a hairy thatcher is finally losing his long luscious locks all for a good cause. Taking place on 30th October, James’ personal thatch removal is raising funds for The Little Princess Trust which was founded in memory of 5 year old Hannah Tarplee. James has told KeeP 106 that it would mean a lot if people could make a donation which can be done via his Facebook page.
The Little Princess Trust website tells us that the Trust was established in 2006 by Hannah’s parents, their friends and Hereford Cathedral Junior School.
In 2004 Hannah had been diagnosed with a Wilms tumour. Hannah loved her hair and losing it was very traumatic for her. Her parents, Wendy and Simon, searched high and low to find a wig suitable for Hannah, during her treatment. When they found one, it had a hugely positive effect on Hannah.
After Hannah tragically passed away in 2005, Wendy and Simon decided to launch a charity dedicated to providing real hair wigs for children and young people.
For more information see The Little Princess Trust website.
James’ haircut will take place at Seventh Seal Barber Shop, Hope Street, Brewery Square, Dorchester on 30th October. Your support will be very much appreciated.
