From Monday the 25th to Saturday the 30th October Shire Hall Historic Courthouse Museum in Dorchester will become home to spooky family-friendly fun for the ultimate Halloween themed visit.
Based in Dorchester, Shire Hall Historic Courthouse Museum brings over 200 years of justice and injustice to life. With interactive galleries, immersive cells and the impressive courtroom, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the museum.
Abbie King, Director of Shire Hall Historic Courthouse Museum, told KeeP 106: “Halloween is our favourite time of the year here at Shire Hall, so we’re delighted to welcome families back to the Museum this half-term for a week packed full of spooky and fun activities.”
Children will be able to take part in a slippery slime making workshop from 11am to 3pm each day. Around the Museum, families can enjoy the count the spider trail and there will be a selection of Halloween themed treats and autumnal drinks available in the cafe. Plus, children dressed up for Halloween get FREE entry* to Shire Hall!
Alongside its family friendly events, Shire Hall is hosting Spells in the Cells, an evening of magical cocktail making on Saturday 30th September. Taking place in Shire Hall’s historic cells, visitors will be able to make their own transfiguration tonic and cauldron cocktails.
