On 25th February 2022 one of the residents at Swanbridge Court in Dorchester will be celebrating her 103rd Birthday.
Mrs. Jean Turner has resided at the development for independent living for over 33 years and continues to do just that – living independently. Every day she walks around the building when the weather permits, cooks her own meals, knits and plays scrabble. She tirelessly volunteers to collect for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance. Instead of gifts for another landmark birthday, she again has requested monetary donations to her favourite charity.
Helen Mullender, Development Manager for Swanbridge Court, tells us that the residents and management will certainly be celebrating this great lady’s life and the contribution she has made to others around her, citing Jean as a great example of healthy living, exercise and maintaining one’s independence.
On 25th February 2022 at around 3pm the Durnovaria Silver Band will attend to relay Birthday greetings in their unique style.
Celebrating your 103rd birthday is quite an impressive achievement. When asked what the secret to her longevity is Jean always replies……”living at Swanbridge Court!” We are all very proud to know this truly inspiring lady.
