Bench targeted by vandals

A park bench in Poundbury had been targeted by vandals, leaving it covered in silver paint.

Memorial plaques, which are also attached to the bench, have been defaced too. The bench, situated on the Great Field, was discovered covered in the paint on Friday the 4th of March.

One Poundbury resident, who discovered the vandalism, said on Facebook: “The motive for vandalism is often unclear. Why would someone give a wooden bench a bad paint job with silver spray paint. What’s the message in that?”

Tina, on Facebook, said: “Total disrespect, hopefully the parent will notice silver spray on their childs hands or clothes and ask them to explain themselves and pay to rectify the situation.”
