Witness appeal following indecent exposure incidents in Dorchester

Officers investigating two incidents of indecent exposure in Dorchester are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The first incident occurred between 10.55pm and 11pm on Tuesday 1 March 2022 in Poundbury Crescent. It is reported that a man was seen performing an indecent act in the area.

The second incident occurred between around 6.15pm and 6.30pm on Thursday 3 March 2022. It was reported that a woman was walking in the vicinity of an alleyway on Damers Road leading to The Thomas Hardye School when she noticed a man coming toward her exposing himself. He did not speak to the woman and continued to walk past her.

The woman described the man as white, aged between 30 and 35 years old and around five feet eight inches tall with short blonde shaggy hair. He was wearing an orange Softshell jacket, dark-coloured trousers and dark shoes.

Police Constable Dave Ash, of West Dorset police, said: “Due to the close proximity of the two incidents, we are treating them as linked.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed either incident, or recognises the man from the description given, to please get in touch.

“I would ask motorists and local residents to please check their dashcams and home CCTV systems for the relevant time periods for any footage to help my investigation.

“Local officers can be approached by any member of the public with any concerns or information.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk/do-it-online, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55220035328.
