Appeal for driver involved in collision in Weymouth to come forward

Officers are appealing for the driver of a vehicle involved in a road traffic collision in Weymouth to come forward.

Between 5.15pm and 5.45pm on Sunday 21 August 2022 a collision occurred on Littlemoor Road involving a bicycle and a car.

The 10-year-old cyclist sustained a cut to his hand.

The driver of the car – which is described as a dark blue possible Volvo or Jaguar estate – spoke to the cyclist, but left the scene without giving any details.

She is described as a white woman, approximately five feet four inches tall and aged in her early 30s with hazel-coloured hair.

Police Constable Scott Williams, of Weymouth police, said: “I have so far been unable to identify the driver involved.

“I would urge the driver to please do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
