Motorist comes forward following fail-to-stop incident in Dorchester

Police have said that a motorist has come forward following an image appeal in relation to an alleged fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Dorchester.

The incident occurred at around 8.50pm on Thursday 15 June 2023 in Kings Road. A 13-year-old boy was riding his bike when he reportedly had to take evasive action to avoid a collision with a yellow car.

There was no direct contact with the car, however, the cyclist reportedly came off his bike as a result of the incident and sustained a broken wrist.

It was reported that the car involved did not stop at the scene.

Following an image appeal to identify the driver of the car involved, a motorist has come forward and is assisting officers with their ongoing enquiries. No arrests have been made.
