Woman due to appear in court following a fail-to-stop collision in July 2023 in Weymouth

A woman is due to appear in court in connection with a report of a fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Weymouth.

It was reported that at around 2.45pm on Tuesday 4 July 2023 a 12-year-old boy was involved in a collision with a car in Chickerell Road. It was alleged that the vehicle failed to stop at the scene.

The boy sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.

Following enquiries by officers from the Roads Policing Team, a 39-year-old woman from Weymouth attended for a voluntary police interview. She has now been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 27 February 2024 for offences of failing to stop after a road accident and failing to report an accident.
